Manufacturing Processes

Tool and Die

Tool and die shops build and maintain the tooling that production depends on. They also solve the problem most buyers eventually hit: an existing tool that is worn, orphaned or producing out-of-spec parts.

New build versus repair

Many tool rooms earn a large share of revenue repairing and re-timing existing dies. If you inherited tooling from a former supplier, a tool room can often evaluate condition and estimate remaining life before you commit to a new build.

Fixtures and gauges

The same shops typically build welding fixtures, assembly fixtures and check gauges. Bundling fixture work with production tooling can simplify accountability when dimensions are contested.
