Manufacturing Processes

Contract Assembly

Contract assembly providers take components — yours, theirs or a mix — and deliver finished, tested, packaged product. The scope varies widely, which makes clear boundaries the most important part of the agreement.

Define who owns what

Decide early who buys components, who owns inventory, who inspects incoming parts and who carries the cost when a supplied component fails. These questions matter more than assembly labor rate.

Testing and packaging

Many assembly houses perform functional test, burn-in, serialization and retail-ready packaging. If you need traceability at the unit level, confirm the system that records it.
